Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast cancer is a disease in which cells in the breast grow out of control. There are different kinds of breast cancer. The kind of breast cancer depends on which cells in the breast turn into cancer. 

U-TOLF carries out awareness on breast cancer at different outreaches done in the state. We have been able to reach more than 5,000 women from all the 17 local governments, educating them on the dangers of breast cancer, how to detect the signs and how to perform self-breast examination.

FREE BREAST AND CERVICAL SCREENING

U-TOLF in collaboration with Medical Women Association of Nigeria, Enugu organized a FREE BREAST SCREENING on Saturday, 14th October, 2023. The Free Breast Screening Initiative unfolded as a beacon of hope, a promise of early detection, and a commitment to breaking down the barriers that often stand in the way of preventive care. This activity is an embodiment of the collective efforts and unwavering dedication of healthcare professionals, volunteers, and the women who entrusted us with their health. Through countless screenings, conversations, and moments of compassion, this initiative illuminated the path to early intervention and care for all as over 200 women were screened and several conversations about their health were discussed.
